The Perfect Winter Holiday Destination
Ditulis pada: June 08, 2015
For anyone planning a winter vacation, there is no better choice than Arizona. Beautiful scenery,
mild weather, world-class accommodations and tourist attractions all
await the visitor in search of a winter escape that includes plenty of
sun and adventure. Arizona has it all, from sports to leisure, from wild
nature to lavish resorts, there are activities and lodging that will
suit anyone's tastes and budget.
The climate is perfect for a winter vacation - temperatures from late fall to early spring average around 60 degrees Fahrenheit (16 degrees Celsius) and the sun shines virtually all the time. You can golf, bike, hike or swim year round or just work on your tan while you relax around the pool. The nights can be cool, though, so don't forget to pack some warm clothes along with your Bermuda shorts and bathing suits.
Natural beauty is one of the features that Arizona is famous for. No trip to Arizona is complete without a visit to Grand Canyon National Park, one of the 7 Natural Wonders of the world. Awe-inspiring and unforgettable, the canyon that the Colorado River has carved over millions of years is one of the most magnificent natural attractions in the world and is only a 4 hour drive from Phoenix, the capital and largest city in the state, which is home to many of the famous and very popular Arizona resorts.
The Grand Canyon is only one of many tourist destinations in Arizona, and Phoenix is the perfect starting point for the traveler who would like to visit all of Arizona's many attractions, due to its central location. Phoenix resorts and hotels are world-renowned and the city plays host to over 12 million guests per year. Five-star hotels and luxurious resorts cater to the well-heeled traveler but there are budget accommodations as well and it doesn't cost anything to soak up the sun, breathe the clean desert air (outside of Phoenix, of course, which does have smog) and explore the vast wilderness. Arizona is truly one of the best winter destinations imaginable and there is enough to see and do there to keep visitors coming back again and again.
